    Hillel is proud to be the lead sponsor and host site for Alpha Epsilon Pi’s Annual Philanthropy. Contact any AEPi brother to grab your ticket for unlimited latkes and other treats; the proceeds benefit AEPi’s National Philanthropy.

    Green Dot is an initiative aimed at preventing sexual assault and other power-based violence. Be a part of this free training to learn how to prevent these social problems. Let’s work together to make our entire community accountable!  Free dinner provided.

  • Meet Kara, Our Summer Student Coordinator

    Hi, my name is Kara and I am the Summer Student Coordinator for 2016. I am pursuing a degree in Fashion Design with a minor in Art History and I am going into my Junior year here at Kent State University. This past school year I was a CEI (Campus Entrepreneur Intern) with Hillel. Through my internship I gained leadership, engagement and many other professional skills which I am very excited to continue to use and build on this summer as the Summer Student Coordinator as well as in the future.

    In my role I will have the pleasure of welcoming in all incoming students to the Jewish community at Kent State. If you are new to Kent, we would love to know more about you and answer any questions you have! I can be reached through Facebook or at

  • Arielle Bodner awarded Esther Marks Award

    The Esther Marks Award is presented each year at End of Year Shabbat and Awards Banquet to a senior who has held a leadership position with Hillel at Kent State. The 2015-16 recipient was Arielle Bodner.

    Arielle was honored due to her dedication to growing Jewish Life through her leadership in Hillel. During her time at Kent State, Arielle was a consistent volunteer, attended Birthright Israel, and held multiple leadership roles (Shabbat Intern 2013-14, Cohn at Nite Coordinator 2015-16)

    The following students were also honored at End of Year Shabbat and Awards Banquet:

  • Yom Hashoah Commemoration on Campus

    Join Alpha Epsilon Pi and Hillel for the annual 24-hour name reading on campus May 4-5. We will meet at "The Rock" on Front Campus for a brief vigil and a silent walk to remember. The name reading will begin outside the MACC at 6:30PM on May 4 and will end at the same time on May 5.
