Shabbat
On Shabbat at Hillel at Kent State, we open our doors for students and their friends, family and supporters to come together and celebrate the precious opportunity we have to take a break from the workweek and enjoy a warm community atmosphere.
Students join together at the Hillel for a service that is usually student-led and to hear some words of wisdom -- a dvar torah given by a student. Shabbat services are immediately followed by a FREE dinner (you must RSVP!). Some students choose to come to services and meals. Others may attend only services or only to join their friends for a Shabbat meal. Walk-ins are allowed, but limited to food availability.
Friday night dinners are FREE for students, due to the generous support from our parents and alumni. To learn more about how you can support this important program, please contact Jacob Rosen (hyperlinked to his email), Development Associate.
Hillel at Kent State also holds Saturday morning services and FREE Kiddush lunch once a month. Visit the calendar for dates and time changes.
